First Communion at St. Julie Billiart

First Reconciliation and First Communion occur in the second grade.  Students must enroll in St. Julie PSR, and have completed one year of PSR prior to second grade. Parent meetings and Jesus Day Retreat are mandatory events.

Students must maintain faithful attendance (no more than 2 excused) and participate in Sunday PSR classes, and complete simple weekly homework, as they prepare for these important sacraments.​​

Confirmation is celebrated in the 8th grade. Students attend regular PSR classes on Sunday from 6:30-7:45.  Sponsor must be a Catholic in good standing with a letter from their parish.  Sponsor must participate in at least one service project with candidate.Sponsor must be at least 17 years of age and confirmed.

To become a candidate for Confirmation, you must ask yourself if you want to receive Confirmation. This is your choice and no one can make it for you. If you answer that you do, you must meet the qualifications for Eligibility (above) and you will need to be engaged with this process, getting things in on time, and participating. If you wish to receive Confirmation, your preparation and being available for the celebration will be a priority. Everything you need to participate in preparation is provided in this timeline with due dates in RED. This information may be subject to change.​
